Discuss your configuration Technical specifications Choose the right stimulation range Inper Frank Electrical Stimulator Constant-current and constant-voltage outputs, driven by an external control signal, with range and amplitude settings. Frank receives digital or analog control signals and outputs in constant-current or constant-voltage mode. It sets mode, range and amplitude; the external input defines the waveform. External control. Defined output. Control functional schematic ROLE The touchscreen provides Mode, Range, Amplitude and Start/Stop controls. Front touchscreen The rear panel provides power, control input and stimulation output connections. Rear panel A desktop housing integrates display and output control alongside the external signal source. Compact housing Controls and connections Design and connections Set current amplitude within the selected range and match it to the load and experiment. Constant current Set voltage amplitude within the selected range for the voltage-controlled protocol. Constant voltage Choose Mode before setting Range and Amplitude. Mode first Start with the output mode Constant-current ranges are ±10 mA, ±2 mA, ±2 µA and ±2 nA. Adjustment step and bandwidth differ by range; select the range before entering amplitude. Select a current range CURRENT RANGES The ±2 nA range has a 1 pA adjustment step. The ±10 mA, ±2 mA and ±2 µA ranges use 10 µA, 1 µA and 1 nA steps respectively. 1 pA is a range-specific step CURRENT STEP Constant-voltage ranges are ±100 V, ±15 V, ±5 V and ±500 mV, with steps of 50 mV, 7.5 mV, 2.5 mV and 250 µV respectively. Select a voltage range VOLTAGE RANGES The ±2 mA and ±2 µA ranges list 0–100 kHz; the other current ranges list 0–10 kHz. Current: 0–100 kHz The ±15 V and ±5 V ranges list 0–100 kHz; the other voltage ranges list 0–10 kHz. Voltage: 0–100 kHz Check amplitude range, adjustment step and external-signal frequency together. Choose together Bandwidth follows the range The technical table specifies adjustment step and output accuracy separately. Check the relevant accuracy and load conditions when using a fine-step range. Current output Documented accuracy ±2% Voltage output Documented accuracy ±5% Separate step size from accuracy The control input accepts digital or analog signals. Connect the external source to the Trigger input and verify the control conditions for the intended output. Connect the control signal INPUT Positive and negative stimulation are supported, with output polarity related to the control input. Coordinate input polarity and selected range for bidirectional protocols. Plan the output polarity POLARITY Use the touchscreen in the order Mode, Range, Amplitude. Mode selects current or voltage, range defines limits and step, and amplitude sets the target level. Set three parameters in order Appearance example; output ranges are specified in the technical table TOUCH OPERATION Start places the device in an output-ready state; stimulation still requires the external control input. Check readiness and the signal source separately. Start arms the output ARMED OUTPUT Use Stop to disable device output and manage the external source as defined by the protocol. End output before changing connections, then recheck settings. Define how the run ends STOP Use the 12 V, 5 A adapter, with separate control-input and stimulation-output connections. Complete grounding and wiring as documented for the source, stimulator and load. Complete the bench connections BENCH INTEGRATION Specify mode, amplitude, waveform frequency and load conditions. Together they determine the range and external signal source configuration. Bring four requirements together SELECTION Output modes Constant current / constant voltage; positive and negative polarity Current ranges and steps ±10 mA: 10 µA; ±2 mA: 1 µA; ±2 µA: 1 nA; ±2 nA: 1 pA Current accuracy ±2% Current bandwidth ±2 mA, ±2 µA: 0–100 kHz; ±10 mA, ±2 nA: 0–10 kHz Voltage ranges and steps ±100 V: 50 mV; ±15 V: 7.5 mV; ±5 V: 2.5 mV; ±500 mV: 250 µV Voltage accuracy ±5% Voltage bandwidth ±15 V, ±5 V: 0–100 kHz; ±100 V, ±500 mV: 0–10 kHz Control input Digital or analog; the external signal defines stimulation Power supply 12 V, 5 A Dimensions / touchscreen 160 × 170 × 70 mm; 480 × 800 Values refer to the models and conditions in the supplied documentation Parameter Value and conditions Values follow the formal technical table in the manual. A fine adjustment step does not imply equal output accuracy. Bandwidth varies by range.
