Discuss your configuration Technical specifications Shape your light protocol Inper Venus Smart Fiber Optogenetic System Lasers, signal control and a folding touchscreen in one device, from waveform settings to dual-source timing. Venus integrates laser sources, a controller and control software. The touchscreen gives access to Waveform, Sweep, Trigger and Output settings. One integrated optical workflow INTEGRATED A folding screen provides direct access to the control interface. Folding touchscreen Power, switching and external-signal connections are on the rear panel. Rear panel Match the optical connection to the selected source and fiber components. Optical connection Explore the device Design and connections Define Waveforms, combine them into Sweeps, then choose triggering or timing conditions. Shape, sequencing and start conditions each have their own settings. From shape to sequence Functional workflow schematic PROTOCOL PATH Choose a single- or dual-source configuration. Dual sources can have independently assigned Sweeps. Manage Waveforms and Sweeps for one source. Single source Original product-material image Assign Sweeps and control relationships for the two sources. Dual source Original product-material image One source or two Documented options are 450, 465, 525, 561, 589 and 635 nm, selected by model. Wavelength options The 450/465/525/635 nm models list up to 100 mW; 561/589 nm models list up to 60 mW. Power by source Confirm wavelength, source count, fiber interface and required terminal power together. Verify the optical setup Match wavelength to the experiment The library includes Constant, Square, Sine, Triangular, Linear, Exponential and Polynomial. Select a shape, then set its amplitude and applicable timing parameters. Seven ways to shape light WAVEFORM LIBRARY Waveform Setting shows parameters, a one-cycle preview and an input keypad so settings can be checked together. Set pulse width, frequency and power with a cycle preview. Square Original product-material image Set frequency and power range in the sine-wave editor. Sine Original product-material image Set parameters. See the shape. A Sweep combines existing Waveforms in order with duration settings. Its preview places the sections on one timeline for checking their transitions. Build a Sweep SWEEP COMPOSE The dual-source interface lets each source use its own Sweep. Confirm activation, timing and output control for the role of each source. Plan each source independently DUAL COORDINATION Trigger offers Edge, Real Time and Gate modes with threshold, pre-trigger and refractory settings. Match the mode to the external signal and verify assignments. Bring external events into the protocol EXTERNAL TRIGGER The threshold setting spans 0.5–10 V; match it to the external device signal. Threshold window The external signal must remain within the valid level range for at least the configured pre-trigger PT to count as a valid event. Set PT for the input pulse duration. Pre-trigger Use the refractory setting to control responses to successive input events. Refractory period Define the trigger conditions Output settings provide TTL or analog signaling associated with events such as start, stop and Sweep. Assignments differ between single- and dual-source configurations. Share output events OUTPUT SIGNAL Timer defines the operating duration in hours, minutes and seconds, up to 99 h 59 min 59 s, giving the protocol a defined endpoint. Make duration part of the protocol TIMER Sweep Preview can display a period from 1 second to 10 minutes. Review waveform transitions and durations before starting output. Preview before running PREVIEW Fiber carries light from the source to the experimental endpoint. Use compatible fiber components and check coupling and terminal power.
